Week of November 2 - 6, 2015

Homework for the week :


Reading - test Monday on vocab and skills from story "Coyote School News". We will start the next story on Tuesday. The story is a play called "Scene Two". The skill for this story is drawing conclusions. Vocabulary for this story are the following words: advice, argument, arrangements, descendants, dishonest, script, and snag. Use the family times letter to review daily. Test on this story will be Wednesday, Nov. 11.


Grammar- We will be starting the study and practice of irregular plural nouns on Tuesday. Review this in your family times letter each night. We will practice in school each day. Quiz on this will be next Tuesday, Nov. 10.


Spelling - post test tomorrow ( Monday) on last week's list. Pretest on the next list will be WEDNESDAY of this week. Family times letters will be sent home Monday with the list. The words are also listed here:

Math - We will continue with topic 1. Monday's homework is P1-6. Tuesday will be p 1 -7, Wednesday will be p1-8, and Thursday will be p1-9. There may be homework on Friday ( p1-10) depending on how Friday's lesson goes in class. The test on this chapter will tentatively be Thursday, Nov. 12.


Science - We are starting plants/animals this week and finishing up technology and design.
