Spelling- We had our pretest today (Thursday). We will have the post test next Wednesday, Nov. 18. Study the family times letter.

Grammar- We are working on possessive nouns. Possessive nouns are nouns that show ownership and end in an apostrophe or apostrophe and an s (' or 's). Singular possessive nouns will always end in 's. Plural possessives will end in 's if they do not end in s ( such as children's). They will end in just an apostrophe when the plural noun noun ends in s ( such as boys'). Study the family times letter each night. A quiz on this will be next Tuesday, Nov. 17.

Math - we are moving on to topic 5. HOmework for Thursday is practice 5-1. We will not have homework on Friday. Homework for Monday - Friday, NOv 16 - 20 is 5-3, 5-4,5-5,5-6. Test will be this Friday or next Monday depending on how the lessons go in class this week.

Social Studies- We are discussing the Indian groups of PA. Project on the Northern Woodland Indian dwellings will be due on December 7. Please return the signed project paper form if you haven't already done so.


Reading - We will be having a test on Wednesday, Nov. 18 on the skills associated with the story " Horse Heroes", study the family times letter ( vocab and skill of fact/opinion).
