Homework for the week of March 10
reading - This week we will be starting unit 4 . We will be reading and discussing stories related to magic, puzzles, and mysteries. We will read about Harry Houdini this week. Homework is as follows:
Monday- vocab, use in sentences or a story. Make sure you have copied the vocab into your reading notebooks and defined each word in class.
Tuesday - complete practice book pages 157 - 158 on comparing and contrasting.
Wednesday - complete practice book pages 159-160 on reading and interpreting instructions and table of contents
Thursday - Study all vocabulary , complete any worksheets ( if given any )
Friday - we will have test today on vocab and skills covered
Grammar - We will be working on singular and plural pronouns this week as well as continuing completing flip books on figurative language, synonyms, antonyms, homonyms, homophones, and greek and latin root words
Monday - complete grammar practice book p. 62
tuesday- complete grammar practice book p. 64
Wednesday - study singular and plural pronouns
thursday - Test on singular and plural pronouns
Friday - complete flip book started in school
Spelling - List 18, words that end in le, al, and en . All those who need to take the pretest need to have pages 65 - 68 are due on Wednesday. Post test on those words will be Thursday. Friday will most likely be the next pretest on words ending in -er, ar
Science- Mrs. Nestor's class
We will continue working on the solar system folder and workbook. No homework will be given in science this week.
