Homework for the week of October 20 - 24, 2014


Spelling - We will not be starting a new list this week. Our next pretest will be next Monday. The list will be list 7 and goes along with the story 'Coyote School News".


grammar - We will be working on writing our personal narratives this week. We will not have a separate grammar lesson but will be making sure we use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation in the sentences we include in our narratives. Narratives will be graded using a rubric which will be explained before the narratives are collected.


reading - We will be reading "Letters Home.." today in class. Reread the story tonight ( MOnday) and complete the questions on page 156. The answers should be written neatly and completely in your notebooks. Make sure to label the assignment with the date and "reading questions p. 156". If the questions ask for text evidence, it means you must use something you have read in the story to support your answer. Tuesday's homework will be to review the vocabulary and Wednesday will be the test. Thursday and Friday we will be working in our "common core" workbooks in class.


Science - we will be starting chapter 2. new vocab cards will be coming home. Review the vocabulary each night this week.
