Week of September 9, 2013

Following is the homework for this week:


Grammar-
Monday - complete p. 5 in grammar workbook on imperative and exclamatory sentences
Tuesday- we will be completing p. 6 in class, do p. 7 for homework ( Grammar pract bk)
Wednesday - study and be sure to know how to identify an imperative and exclamatory sentence
Thursday - Test on imperative and exclamatory sentences
Friday - Review of imperative, exclamatory, interrogative, and declarative sentences


Reading -

Monday - Finish reading practice book pages 6 -7 on sequence and author's purpose
Tuesday - Finish filling in tri-fold for story "Because of Winn Dixie"
Wednesday - Test on story "Because of Winn Dixie" including the vocabulary that was introduced with the story ( refer to the Family Times Letter)
Thursday - No homework ( we will continue to work on learning centers)
Friday - continue learning centers in class, no homework!


Spelling -- Week 2 words ( long a and i)

Monday - write the list 2 times each in your spelling notebook - list is available on http://www.spellingcity.com/areinoehl/
Tuesday- finish pages 5 - 6 in spelling book
Wednesday - finish pages 7 -8
Thursday - Review and study list ( challenge are extra credit points)
Friday - Test on week 2 words


Science -
Monday - Thursday

Review any worksheets or papers as they are completed. Review consumer, producer, scavenger, predator, prey, carnivore, herbivore, omnivore, food chain, and food web.
We will have a test on Friday on this material.
