Tuesday, Sept. 3
Grammar - both Mrs. Nestor's class and my class will be continuing to work on declarative and interrogative sentences. We will have a short test on this on Thursday of this week. Homework for tonight is grammar p. 3.
Reading- Please have a chapter book in school to read in school during designated times. (this is for both homerooms). There will be times we are going to read silently or use these books during our reading centers.
Spelling - test will be on Friday for the list one, week one words. complete page 1 and 2 for homework if not completed in class
Science We will be starting a study on ecosytems in science this week. Our first topic will be producers, consumers, and decomposers/ food chains and food webs. Anyone who can bring in an empty clean, 2 liter plastic soda bottle, we will be creating ecosystems in a bottle in small groups next week.
Wednesday, Sept. 4
Grammar- Test tomorrow on declarative and interrogative sentences
Reading - No homework
Spelling - Study week one words, finish pages 3 -4 in spelling book.
Thursday, Sept. 5
Grammar- Test TODAY, no homework in grammar tonight.
Reading - Write a letter to Opal from the story "Winn Dixie". Write a rough draft in your reading notebook tonight. We will peer edit and rewrite tomorrow.
Spelling - test tomorrow
