Tentative homework for this week:
Reading - We will be practicing reading short passages and answering questions in order to prepare for the PSSA test that will be here in April. We will still test on the reading vocabulary and skills so continue to study the vocabulary, skills, grammar, and spelling words that are found on the family times letter.
We will be reading short articles on biomes that go along with our unit in science on Habitats.
Spelling - pretest is tomorrow ( Monday). Post test will be Friday. Homework will be corrections on Monday, word search on Tuesday, and ABC order paper on Wednesday. Thursday's homework is to study.
Grammar- We are going to continue learning about pronouns. The lesson this week is pronouns and antecedents. An antecedent is the noun that the pronoun refers to. We will practice throughout the week in school and have a quiz on Friday. Refer to the family times letter to review.
Math - we will be finishing topic 11 Monday and Tuesday. Our test on this topic will be on Thursday . Friday we will start topic 12. Homework will be 12-1 on Friday.
Science - The watershed poster is due on March 4. Even though this is a contest, it is still a required assignment and will be graded. Please follow the directions that were sent home ( in the green folder). We are also studying habitats and biomes and will continue this for the next 2 weeks.
Social Studies- We are learning about PA weather and climate and products of PA. Some papers may be sent home to finish.
