Tentative homework for this week:
Reading/ELA - We will be starting Unit 4 on Monday. The story is called "The Case of the Gasping Garbage". New vocabulary for this story are the following words: analysis, beakers, hollow, identity, lecture, microscope, precise, and relentless. Please study these words each night from the Family times letter. The skills for this story are compare/contrast and visualization. Test on this story will be Friday.
The grammar lesson this week is to recognize and use singular and plural pronouns. Review the family times letter each night.
Spelling - Our pretest for this week is Monday. The list includes the following words: don't, won't, wouldn't, there's, we're, you're, doesn't, I've, here's, wasn't, shouldn't, couldn't, where's, hadn't, aren't, they're, it's, we've, when's, and haven't. The challenge words are : it'll, who'll, might've, mustn't, and we'd. Homework for Monday is to write corrections from the pretest. Tuesday will be the ABC order sheet, and Wednesday will be the word search. Post test for this list will be Friday.

Math - We are skipping topic 10 for now and moving on to topic 11 ( fractions). Homework for this week is 11-1 on Monday, 11-2 on Tuesday, 11-3 on Wednesday, 11-4 on Thursday, and 11-5 on Friday.
Science - we are working on weathering and erosion this week
Social studies- There will be a project assigned at the end of the week relating to the waterways of Pennsylvania. Information will be sent home at the end of the week.
