week of December 7 - 11, 2015

Math - We are continuing with topic 6 this week, which is multiplication of 2 and 3 digit numbers by 1 digit. Homework for the week is as follows: Monday - P6-4, Tuesday ( no homework due to all day band practice), Wednesday- P6-5, Thursday P6-6. Friday will be topic 6 test.


Reading - We will be having the test on the vocabulary and skills that go along with the story "The Man Who Named the Clouds" on Tuesday. Please review the family times newsletter with the vocabulary and skills we covered. Wednesday we will start the next story called "Adelina's Whales". The next family times letter will be sent home on Wednesday with homework to begin to review the next list of vocabulary words.

Spelling - We will have our post test on Tuesday. The next list will be sent home Wednesday. The pretest will be on Thursday. Be sure to review the list ( Adelina's Whales) on the family times letter to prepare. Homework will be to study our current list on Monday and the next list Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Thursday's homework will be three times each and Friday's homework will be the ABC order sheet.


Grammar- We are working on action and linking verbs. We will be finishing them up on Monday. A small quiz will be on Tuesday. We will then begin the next lesson on main and helping verbs on Wednesday. Review the family times letter.


Social Studies- All Native American dwelling projects are due Monday.


Science - We are continuing our study of plants and animals.
