Week of September 29 - October 3, 2014


Happy Fall and spirit week!


Homework for this week is as follows:

Spelling - Monday will be the pretest for List 5. This list goes with the story "Letters to Yosemite". ( we are farther in spelling than in reading). Corrections are to be completed three times each Monday for homework. Post test will be Friday so students who need, should study each night.


Grammar- Our lesson in grammar this week will be on Compound sentences. We will have some practice pages for homework Monday ( wkbk p. 76) and Tuesday ( wkbk p. 83), Wednesday will be to complete a worksheet on compound sentences. Thursday is to study for a quiz on Friday. Friday will be a quiz and there will be no homework.


Reading - Monday , complete workbook p. 74 on friendly letters. Tuesday we will be starting a new story "The Horned Toad Prince". Homework will be workbook p. 75 on vocabulary words 1-10, the bottom part does not need to be completed. Wednesday's homework will be Words to write found on p. 114 in the reading textbook. The writing is to be completed in the reading notebooks. Thursday's homework is to complete workbook p. 79 on synonyms/antonyms. Friday there will be no homework.

VO- Test on Friday on Suffixes. Make sure to study nightly.


Science- Please complete all questions from pages 18 - 23. Questions will be due on Thursday.
