Homework for the week of January 6 - 10, 2014


What a whirlwind it has been weather wise in 2014! Following is homework scheduled for most of the week ( barring we have no more delays/early dismissals/cancellations)


Monday, Jan 6


Grammar - This week we will continue working on action and linking verbs. Complete p. 42 and p. 43 in your grammar books.
A test on action and linking verbs will be given on Thursday of this week.
Reading- This week we will be listening to a story called "The Man Who Named the Clouds". We will learn some new vocabulary words to go with this story. Homework tonight is to complete the worksheet and write sentences or a paragraph using the words.

Spelling- pretest today. Our list is words that end in -ed and -ing. Make corrections 3 times each in your spelling notebook. pages 42-43-44 in your spelling book will be due on Wednesday and the post test on this list will be Friday.

Science - we will continue working on our storm projects in school.

Spelling - continue working on pages 42-44 ( due tomorrow), and study the list

Grammar - study for test tomorrow

Spelling - study the list words ending in -ed and - ing
