December 17 - 21, 2012

Happy Holidays to all! After the horrific events in Connecticut , we can count our blessings. I am blessed to have terrific students, fellow staff members, administration, supportive parents, and a very wonderful, loving family. I wish all of you a happy and healthy Christmas and New Year!

This week we will be busy preparing for the chorus/band concerts and making goodies for our kindergarten friends and parents.

There will be a BIG VO test this week. The test is Wednesday, December 19. It will cover the suffixes, root words, and prefixes.

In both classes, we are working on an essay to be submitted into the Pottsville Republican/Evening Herald for Newspaper in Education Week 2013. The topic is A Person I Admire. The writings are great!


Tuesday the 4-5-6 graders will perform their holiday concert at the high school.

Thursday will be an all day chorus rehearsal for choir members. They will be at the high school all day. Students are to bring their own lunch unless they pre-ordered one already from the cafeteria.

Friday there will be a small holiday celebration in our classroom. There will be an early dismissal on Friday. Elementary will begin dismissing at 1pm.
