Welcome to our second week of school for the 2016-17 school year. Last week, we spent a lot of time doing pre assessments in math and reading in order to be able to focus our curriculum in the proper direction for each student. This week we will start with homework and a regular daily routine. All math homework will be on my blog, while the ELA subjects will be found on Mrs. Geirka's blog. Homework this year will be kept to a minimum with a daily math review sheet. Science work will be completed in school for the majority of the year, with the exception of an occasional activity or project. Math can also be accessed online at www.pearsonsuccessnet.com. Each student received their log in information for that. There will be activities for students to work on during home or independent time in school. Please take advantage of this great resource. * Some time may be given in school to start the homework. If students do get finished, they are required to take the homework home and discuss it with someone at home. This will ensure that parents are made aware of skills we are covering in school and if there is a clear understanding of material.
Science - We will be starting a unit on ecosystems. We will be completing a variety of activities in school this week.
