Week of March 23- March 27, 2015

Homework for this week is as follows:


Reading - Monday - 4R - study vocabulary and skills for test on Tuesday ( words that go with Paul Bunyan)
4N- also study vocabulary and skills but your test will be on WEDNESDAY, not Tuesday.
Tuesday -4R- no homework, test today
4N- Study for test tomorrow
Wednesday- We will be working on compare/contrast , so we will write a short essay of that type in school
today.( both classes)
Thursday- We are starting the next story called "Gasping Garbage". The vocabulary for this week is analysis,
beaker, hollow, identity, lecture, microscope, precise, and relentless. Skills for this week are
compare and contrast, synonyms and antonyms, and singular and plural pronouns. Homework will be
workbook p. 249.
Friday - No homework today, I will be at a workshop at the Schuylkill IU, Mr. Groody will be the substitute.


English/Language - 4N will be finishing up irregular verbs and having a quiz on Tuesday. On Wednesday, both classes will start with singular and plural pronouns. Pronouns are words that take the place of nouns. Pronouns that take the place of singular nouns are singular pronouns. I, me, he, she, him, her, it, myself, himself, and herself are singular pronouns. Pronouns that take the place of plural nouns are plural pronouns. We, us, they, them, ourselves, and themselves are plural pronouns. Wednesday's homework will be workbook page 257. Thursday's homework will be workbook page 303.


Science - This week we are wrapping up Chapter 4, 4R will be reviewing the chapter on Monday and Tuesday and having a test on Wednesday on this chapter. 4N will be working on lessons 5-6 on Monday and Tuesday. 4N will be reviewing on Wednesday and Thursday and having their test on Friday. Each class should study the vocabulary from the chapter and go over the chapter review pages at the end of the chapter.
