Week of April 21 - 25, 2014



Grammar - We will be working on the comparative and superlative forms of adjectives this week. We will be completing pages 85 -88 in our grammar practice books both in class and for homework. Test will be on Friday



Reading - We will be reading a journal entry titled "Antarctic Journal". We will work on the vocabulary and practice the skill of identifying the main idea and details. We will be examining the prefixes and root words of some of our vocab and story words and learning how knowing the meaning of word parts can help with comprehension. Homework for this week will be writing a journal entry using our vocabulary words found on page 232 of the reading practice book. We will also be completing pages 233 -238 in the practice book. At this point, I am unsure how much we will complete in school so homework will be mostly finishing up any pages we do not complete in school.


Spelling - Post test will be on Wednesday.


Science - We will continue to review for PSSA science and also start working more in depth on electricity and magnetism
