Week of November 19 - 22, 2013

Grammar - Tuesday - Friday NO grammar homework unless class work is not completed. We will be reviewing singular and plural possessive nouns

Spelling - We will be taking a break from our spelling book and using a high frequency word list. Pretest on this list will be Thursday. Two activities will be given to complete using this word list and the post test on this list will be given next Tuesday.

Science - We will be working on the water cycle this week. A few activities will be sent home that we will start in class. We also will be using empty 2 liter bottles again, this time we only need about 10 per class ( 20 total) to do a demonstration on the water cycle. If anyone can donate one or two it would be greatly appreciated.

Reading - We will be having our test on Grace and the Time Machine on Friday. Please study the vocabulary words. We will NOT be completing a scavenger hunt on the story. We WILL complete the tri-fold as a review. We will also have assessments using the leveled readers on the same vocabulary words and the skill drawing conclusions. Make sure to study the vocabulary words each night this week.
