Week of May 6 - 10, 2013

Monday, May 6

Spelling - New list is found on spelling p. 109 ( words with suffixes -less, -ness, and -ment). Pretest on this list will be on Wednesday of this week.

Grammar- We are continuing a study on adjectives. We will be focusing on comparative and superlative adjectives this week. Homework is p. 86 which will be due on Wednesday.

reading - Test on Jim Thorpe's Bright Path will be on Thursday of this week. Today we will be reading leveled readers about Jim Thorpe and reviewing fact/opinion. Scavenger hunt will be given as homework and due on Wednesday.

Science - We are starting plant parts ( flowers and trees). Review the parts of a plant and tree on the worksheets that you received on Friday. Test will be next Monday on that information.


Tuesday, May 7

All day chorus practice today over at NSHS. All homework was assigned yesterday and is due tomorrow.


Wednesday, May 8

Spelling - pretest today

Grammar - make sure grammar p. 87 is completed

Reading - test tomorrow on Jim Thorpe's Bright Path.

Science - continuation of plant study



Thursday, May 9

Spelling - complete p. 111 ( will be completed in class)

GRammar - test tomorrow on superlative and comparative adjectives

Reading - test today, no homework

Science - study plant/tree parts , test will be on Wednesday, May 15.



Friday, May 10

Spelling - we will complete p. 112 in class. Post test on these words will be on Tuesday, May 14.
