Week of March 25 - 29, 2013


Monday, March 25

Grammar- test today on pronouns and antecedents ( if we have a snow day, the test will be Tuesday)

Reading- finish scavenger hunt and tri-fold for homework. Test on story The King in the Kitchen will be on Wednesday.
* An assignment was given on the story Bunnicula, which we read in class. The project was given out on Friday and is due after Easter break.
Spelling - Test today on list 19 words ( if snow day, test will be on Tuesday)

Science - no homework, we will be starting a study on weather and the water cycle this week


Tuesday, March 26

grammar- We will be working on a packet of literary devices such as alliteration, onomatopoeia, hyperbole, similies, and metaphors for the next few days, new grammar lesson will begin on Thursday.

Reading - Test tomorrow on The King in the Kitchen

Spelling - No homework, pretest on the next list will be on Thursday. Words can be found on page 73 in your spelling book.

Science - No homework


Wednesday, March 27

grammar- we will continue to work on the packet of literary devices

Spelling - study for pretest

Reading - We will perform the play tomorrow to other grades, remember any props if needed. We will also start the next story in our book called Seeker of Knowledge


Thursday, March 28

Grammar - new lesson on possessive pronouns. complete p. 73

reading - complete reading practice book p. 184 and write a paragraph using the vocabulary words in your reading notebook.

Spelling - pretest today, complete any corrections over the break and work on pages74 - 75 - 76 in spelling book. the posttest on this list will be Friday, April 5.
