Letter Dd and its sound as in dog will be our focus in Phonics this week. We will not have Show & Tell, but in its place we will be giving our dinosaur reports. Please follow your classroom schedule! **Details and information about the reports were sent home in your child’s folder.
§ In Math we will be working on Chapter 8; Money and Time. Students will be learning to identify the coins penny, nickel, and dime and the values of each. Please continue to practice counting to 100 by 1’s, 2’s, 5’s, and 10’s, and writing numbers correctly to 30.
§ Friday, February 13th @ 1:30 we will have our Valentine’s party. Anyone who has not yet turned in his/her $4.00 party money is asked to send it in as soon as possible. Also, remember to bring your valentines to school one day next week and don’t forget to include all the students in the class so no one has hurt feelings. Have a Happy Valentine’s Day!
§ February is National Children’s Dental Health Month. Please encourage your child to brush his/her teeth at least twice a day and to practice good dental health habits.
§ Monday night @ 6:30 there will be a PTO meeting in the school cafeteria. All are invited and encouraged to attend.
§ “Kindergarten has Heart” Family Fun Night will be held on Wednesday, February 11th from 6:00-7:30pm in the school cafeteria. Anyone who plans to attend and has not yet responded, should do so as soon as possible so refreshments and supplies can be prepared. Let’s all get in the mood for some FUN
