· This week for Phonics we will be learning the consonant letter Ss as in sun and snake. We will have Show and Tell, so start looking for something to share on Friday.
· In Math we will continue with Chapter 4: Numbers 6-10. Please continue to practice counting and comparing sets and writing numbers correctly.
· Monday, November 10th will be the monthly PTO meeting. The meeting will be held in the school cafeteria beginning at 6:30 pm. All are invited and encouraged to attend.
· School picture retake day will be Thursday, November 13th. Any student who was absent, is new to the school, or missed having his/her picture, taken will be photographed. Please let the teacher know if your child needs an envelope with package options and prices listed.
· If you haven’t returned your child’s report card, please sign and return it as soon as possible. Once all report cards have been signed and returned, the teacher will return them to you to keep.
· Thank you to all the parents who attended parent/teacher conferences on Tuesday, Nov. 4th and Thursday, Nov. 6th. Your interest and support in your child’s education is important to your child’s success!
· Since the cold weather is upon us, we are asking that students be sure to wear warmer coats, mittens or gloves, and a hat (which can be kept in their backpacks )so that when we go out for our 35 minute recess the students are prepared for any changes in temperature or for the lengthy time outside. We try to get outside whenever possible—if dressed properly; the fresh air does us good!!!
