Tentative homework for the week is as follows:
Reading- We will be wrapping up our week 1 story and skills this Friday with our first reading test. The test will include the vocabulary words ( grand, memorial, peculiar, positive, prideful, recalls, selecting), understanding sequence of a story, and knowing how the ending -ed changes words to past tense. Homework for the week will be to study. If any written work happens to be assigned, I will update the helpline that day.
Spelling - post test on list one words will be Friday. List words are : admire, magnet, contest, method, custom, rally, soccer, engine, sudden, finger, accident, mitten, intend, fabric, flatten, rascal, gutter, mammal, happen, cannon
Grammar- We will have a quiz on declarative and interrogative sentences on Thursday. Remember a declarative sentence ends with a period and is a telling sentence , an interrogative sentence is a question and ends with a question mark.
Science - We will be starting chapter one , lesson one this week. There will not be any homework.
Social Studies- We will be starting with map skills, social studies will be taught on Friday afternoon and will also be integrated within our reading time.
Math - lessons 2-3 will be taught on Tuesday, expect homework to be practice 2-3, Wednesday will be practice 2-4. I will update the math homework as the week goes on depending on how our class time goes.
