Homework and material to be covered for this week is as follows:
Spelling - list 14 post test will be Wednesday. The pretest for list 15 will be Thursday. The list goes with the story "Paul Bunyan" and is composed of possessives. The list is a follows: its, ours, mine, yours, hers, theirs, family's, families', man's, men's, girl's, girls', brother's, brothers', teacher's, teachers', aunt's, aunts', boy's, boys'. the challenge words are: country's, countries', witness's, witnesses', laboratory's, laboratories'.
Grammar- Our next lesson will be on past, present, and future tense of verbs. We will start this lesson on Thursday. Homework for Thursday will most likely be a workbook page. We will then continue this next week and wrap up this lesson the first few days of March.
Reading - We are working on the story "How Night Came From the Sea". Mrs. Reinoehl's homeroom will be wrapping up this story and having a test on Wednesday. Mrs. Nestor's class will not have a test on this story until Friday. The vocabulary for this story is as follows: brilliant, chorus, coward, gleamed, and shimmering. Monday's Homework for 4R is to complete workbook page 205. You need the story "How Night Came from the Sea" in order to complete this page. Homework for 4N is to practice reading the story at home. Tuesday's homework will be to study the vocabulary words and to read their AR books. Homework for the rest of the week is yet to be determined.
Science- There is a packet being sent home MOnday to complete on living and non-living things in an ecosystem and on the likenesses and differences between plants and animals. Everyone should study the vocab sheets daily to learn the main words in this chapter ( producer, consumer, decomposer, carnivore, omnivore, herbivore, food web, food chain, predator, prey).
