Homework for 10/27 - 10/31
spelling - We will not be starting a new spelling list until next week. We are wrapping up Unit 1 in reading/grammar and will be starting unit 2 next Monday. We will have a pretest next Monday. The list goes with the story "Coyote School News".
Grammar- This week we will be focusing on writing once again. We will complete another narrative as a unit wrap up. We will concentrate on good sentence structure when we are writing. The only homework that may be sent home will be in relation to the narrative.
Reading - We are reviewing Unit 1 and wrapping up the unit by having a unit review test ( this will NOT count towards report cards but will be used a tool for me to assess any student weaknesses in any skills we have covered). We will be working on an end of the unit writing prompt in class. We will also be starting to use our Common Core reading books which will further help strengthen comprehension and other reading skills.
Science - We are continuing on with Lesson 2 in Chapter 2. We will have a quiz on lesson 2 at the end of the week.
VO- Test this Friday on all the first marking period suffixes, prefixes, and root words. STUDY nightly!!!!
