This week's homework and happenings:
Monday, Sept. 10 Today is DAY 5, gym class with Miss Brill!
Spelling: write list 2 words three times each, put in ABC order, and write 5 sentences using any 5 list words. This assignment is due on Thursday so you can decide how much you would like to get done each night.
Grammar: New topic this week: imperative and exclamatory sentences. Imperative sentences are commands and end with a period, exclamatory sentences show emotion and end with an exclamation mark. No homework tonight in grammar.
Reading: new story "Lewis and Clark and Me". vocabulary words were introduced today. Write sentences in your reading notebook for each Vocabulary word. Your sentences should be neat and show that you understand the meaning of the word.
VO- Study the words 1 - 20 and the highlighted prefixes, suffixes, or root words.
Tuesday, Sept. 11
Spelling: study list words and work on homework assigned on Monday
Grammar: finish grammar practice book p. 6
Reading: Reread story "Lewis Clark and Me" at home tonight.
VO: same as Monday
Wednesday, Sept. 12
Grammar: study what imperative and exclamatory sentences are. Test tomorrow!
Reading: Read "lewis and Clark and Me" AGAIN tonight.. Test is on Friday!
Spelling: Monday's assignment is due tomorrow.. Make sure your work is NEAT!!!
Thursday, Sept. 13
Grammar: NO homework
Reading: TEST tomorrow, study the scavenger hunt questions and answers.
Spelling: Lesson 2 test is tomorrow. STUDY your words!!!!
Friday, Sept. 14
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND! Study your VO over the weekend. Test will be next week on TUESDAY OR WEDNESDAY!
