Kindergarten Happenings for the week of January 3 – 6, 2012
In phonics we will be working on the letter K. We will resume show and tell this week. Please send something in that begins with the sound of /k/ on Thursday or Friday. We will also have word list 7 test on Friday. Please make sure to practice the words at home.
In reading, we will be reading the story “See How We Grow”. Our focus skill we be compare and contrast as well as reviewing the sequence of the story.
In math, we are continuing to use the geoboards and practice creating some geometric shapes. We have learned shapes such as circle, square, rectangle, triangle, trapezoid, and parallelogram. We are also going to learning about the dime, practicing counting by 10s, and graphing.
When school resumes on January 3, it will be day 5 in our special class schedule. We will have art class.
